Private Villas

The villa was built in 1869 as a hunting lodge on the shores of Lake Massaciuccoli. The charm of the period, when painters and musicians – Giacomo Puccini especially – made Torre del Lago their refuge, remains intact. The villa is a square-shaped, neo-Gothic style building, with an imposing crenellated tower in the south-west corner. From the top of the tower there are spectacular views of the lake and the surrounding countryside and, in the distance, the dome of the Cathedral and the Leaning Tower of Pisa and even as far the towns of Cascina and Volterra in the Tuscan countryside.
