Villa Puccini di Torre del Lago

Public Villas

In 1899 Giacomo Puccini bought the tower house, which he restored and transformed into a two-storey house in typical late nineteenth century style, still evident today, and where the waters of lake lapped the path around the garden railings. The splendid chapel that was once a living room, the mortal remains of the composer and those of his family have been kept since 1926. The Museum was once the home in which Giacomo Puccini lived; the rooms have remained almost intact and retain the atmosphere of this unique place, where the Maestro found inspiration for his immortal melodies.
